Building costs for residential houses and other structures in Tanzania will be cut by half when a government supported 15 million US dollar factory starts on next jan. Construction of the factory to produce composite structural insulated panels(CSIP), descriped as a better alternative to traditional construction materials due to their strength and affordability, started in dar. Nowadays the use of CSIPs for houses would reduce building costs by almost half because of cement, wood and steel would not required. Building house technology of using CSIPs would also reduce construction period by many months. More people could own modern and decent houses when searching for affordable building materials. Houses comes with water recycling plant and a rain harvesting friendly design under these technologies.
